The bracket/brace on the bottom side of the bed rails eliminated that.Jonathanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04280991034979708722noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3892402989830952166.post-13172197038369995312016-07-30T09:04:05.808-05:002016-07-30T09:04:05.808-05:00but where you fastened it to wall is plenty strong...but where you fastened it to wall is plenty strong huh? I designed the bed for minimal deflection. As a result it is quite stout. The only caveat is that all three adults shouldn't sit in the same edge. There is a small chance that could bend the frame tube on that side.Jonathanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04280991034979708722noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3892402989830952166.post-17294400007638816702016-07-30T07:01:37.371-05:002016-07-30T07:01:37.371-05:00Do you have any concerns with how much weight the ...Do you have any concerns with how much weight the bed can hold? possibly 3 adults?Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04393730618693844616noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-3892402989830952166.post-14386448727330249112016-07-18T11:16:28.338-05:002016-07-18T11:16:28.338-05:00If I were to do it again, I would hinge the bed fr...If I were to do it again, I would hinge the bed from one side only. I will rarely use the rear hinge function. I would also consider mounting the struts in an up/down orientation. This would make the lift assist more linear and easier to control. The lift struts (gas springs) are Mcmaster Carr part 9416k17. They are 12.63" long extended and have 60lbs of lift force.
