Southward into Banff we roamed. Hoping to find an elusive bit of clear sky.
This gal is gaining as much weight as possible before the season ends.

Hanging a left at Radium Hot Springs, we saw a number of bighorn sheep, calmly munching away on roadside greenery as traffic buzzed past. Ironically, they were right next to the bighorn-sheep caution sign. On my bucket list is to see a few males jousting over the females during mating season. Those horns are not just for show.
Dauntless Mountaineers, they are usually much more common on the rocky slopes, but they go where the food is.
Nearing the USA border, we stopped to visit some friends. Various tales were exchanged, pizza baked, cats petted, and smoke commiserated. A good time indeed. The Canadians do know their hospitality.
